The Resource Budgets and Forecasts in FinOps will only move back a year when the FinOps Budget Year End is run. This should therefore be run immediately after the Financials Year End is run, to keep everything in line.
To run a Budget Year End:
Log in to FinOps Administrator
Browse to System Control, Year End, Budgets
A message will appear asking if you want to run the Budgets Year End - click Yes when you are ready
A message will then appear asking if you have taken a backup of the database - these are in fact taken every 15 minutes automatically in the hosted environment, but if you want Access to manually take a backup as well you can log a case with us - click Yes when you are ready to continue
The Budget Year End will run and will confirm once complete
Click OK to close the message box
Please note: Sales and Cost budgets are not affected by the Budget Year End in FinOps and are instead controlled by the Year End in Financials
