Error - 'GetFormDefinition: Error handling request - Invalid Object Name '{OBJECT_NAME}' when opening a custom Workflow Form

Updated over 2 weeks ago

This error usually occurs when a potential upgrade to the Workflow Forms service has been upgraded and is out of sync with the Database Version.

To resolve this you simply need to run the Workflow Forms *Upgrader* from the FinOps Remote Gateway

**Prerequisites**

  • Access to the FinOps Remote Gateway

  • The credentials for your CLOUD\DMnnnnHosting.Admin account

  • An administrator of Workspace

If you have all three follow the steps below.

  1. Navigate to the FinOps Remote Gateway in a web browser

  2. Log in with your CLOUD\DMnnnnHosting.Admin credentials

  3. Open WFF Designer, then click Sign In

  4. This opens a web page requesting you to sign in to your Workspace Account

  5. After returning back to the Workflow Forms Designer login window, select the Database and click Sign In again

  6. Confirm the prompt The database Workflow Forms tables are currently version {x.x.xx} and needs to be upgraded to version {y.y.yy}. Would you like to upgrade them Now?

  7. You should then see a successful Database has been upgraded successfully prompt

  8. Click OK to this

If do not have access to the above,
OR
You have followed the steps and the Confirm prompt "The database Workflow Forms tables are currently version {x.x.xx} and needs to be upgraded to version {y.y.yy}. Would you like to upgrade them Now?" did not appear, then please raise a new case online and reference the title of this article.
