User has limited or no access to a custom Workflow Form

Updated over 2 weeks ago

Permissions to the custom Workflow Forms are controlled within the WFF Designer application. To access this application you will need to know the Hosting.Admin account for your organisation.

Follow these steps to access the WFF Designer and steps on how to check and configure the permissions to individual custom Workflow Forms in Financials/FinOps

  1. The WFF Designer is a hosted application and is accessed via a Remote Desktop Gateway

  2. Browse to the Remote Gateway in a web browser

  3. Log in with your organisations Hosting.Admin account

    • **Remember to put CLOUD\DMnnnn in front of your Hosting.Admin account's username as the CLOUD is the hosted cloud domain and DMnnnn is your organisations DM reference**

  4. Once logged in click on the WFF Designer application to launch the remote application

    • **You may have to enter your Hosting.Admin account credentials a further time here**

  5. When the application opens click the Sign In button

  6. This opens a web browser (from the remote server) and prompts for your Workspace Credentials.

  7. Validate your user by providing your Workspace sign in credentials

  8. This takes you back to the App and you are then able to select the appropriate database from a list, if available

  9. Once logged in to the correct Database you should find the correct Form, highlight it and click Permissions

  10. Here you then need to locate the user record and review/set the permissions as required for this user, for this form.

  11. Click Save to complete your review/changes and repeat for any other number of Forms.

  12. Exit WFF Designer when finished and get your user to Sign out and back in from their Workspace/Financials instance for these changes to take affect
