The FinOps Administrator application is a legacy of the FocalPoint Administrator (originally developed for FocalPoint, from which FinOps has evolved). It is currently in the process of being phased out entirely in a FinOps setting, with all features being moved to Financials/Workspace.
This is quite a big undertaking and as such there are still some elements of FinOps Administration which can only be done in FinOps Administrator.
FinOps Administrator is a Hosted application, in the CLOUD. It can only be accessed from a website (the Remote Gateway) and with a CLOUD account that has administrator privileges
To access FinOps Administrator follow these steps:
In a Web Browser navigate to the Remote Gateway
You will have to log in with your account credentials
**The username should be entered in the following format CLOUD\DMnnnnuser.name
(where nnnn is the four digit unique customer DMnumber)
Once logged in successfully click on Financials Operations from the available RemoteApps
This will launch the remote application and prompt for the user credentials again
Once you've successfully launched the application you can then select your Database and log in
**If your account does not have administrator permissions; Please raise a new case online and reference the title of this article.
