Give users permissions to Purchase Request types

Updated over 2 weeks ago

This is controlled in Financials as follows:

  1. Log into Access Financials as a user that is in a Financials Operations security profile that is flagged as a Master User.

  2. Navigate to Purchasing, then Settings.

  3. Click on the Purchase Request Permission icon.

  4. Select the Purchase type in question. A list of the users will be displayed in the right hand window.

  5. Locate the user in question in this list. (If the user is not displayed in the list, you may have to temporarily grant them the User roll for Financials in the Member section of Workspace. Change their role to User, save the changes and then change it back to No Access and save the changes. Log out of Financials and then back in and they should appear in the list)

  6. Click on the Edit icon.

  7. You can then tick the boxes that relate to the required privileges.

  8. Below is a list of the privileges you can select:

  • Active ; This allows the user edit a purchase request that has already been created.

  • New : This allows the user to create a new purchase request.

  • Duplicate : This allows the user to duplicate a purchase request.

  • Reopen : This allows the user to reopen a purchase request posted to Access Financial if the related purchase order is still in the batch.

9. Click on the Save icon.
